Responsible for providing Career and Technical Education instruction in Business Software Applications, Introduction to Computers, and Computer Literacy areas; to assist assigned students to complete the required competencies for that trade area; demonstrate effective classroom or lab management; to ensure that the lab is operated in compliance with all aspects of safety management; and to maintain accurate and current student records for assigned student.
Minimum
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to engage students in one-on-one teaching and supervise students and inmate aides in a class room/Lab environment.
Ability to maintain accurate records; Ability to facilitate other Correctional Education instructors.
Knowledge and experience of policy and procedure governing adult education.
Must possess working knowledge of basic adult education field, adult literacy and computer software appropriate for program needs.
Additional Considerations:
Teaching experience in an educational environment, alternative school setting, correctional education setting, or state facility.
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Business; Information Technology, a related field.
