We have an immediate opening for a Mental Health Clinician at Fluvanna Correctional Center for Women who wants to make a difference in the lives of incarcerated individuals who have been chronically underserved.
This position provides mental health services to inmates including crisis intervention, screening, psychological evaluation and report writing, psychoeducational services, individual and group therapy, treatment planning, and release planning under the supervision and direction of the Mental Health Clinician Senior.
Qualifications Graduate degree (or within 3 months of completing) in Psychology (clinical or counseling) or equivalent degree in related human services field from an accredited university or college or an equivalent combination of training and experience, with advanced coursework in psychology Training and experience in the treatment of mental disorders and the ability to develop intervention and treatment plans and to provide individual and group counseling or therapy Demonstrated ability to develop intervention and treatment plans Demonstrated ability to provide individual and group counseling or therapy Considerable working knowledge of psychopathology, diagnostic nomenclature, psychological theory and ethical practices.
